My First Google AdSense Cheque

I got my first Google AdSense cheque in the mail today!  I’ve finally crossed the $100 USD mark for the first time ever.  Google pays on a monthly basis if you have a minimum $100USD accumulated.
I’ve been displaying AdSense ads on my blog for quite a while.  It’s just been in the past several months [...]

Just bought a DLink DNS-323

So NCIX was having another one of their sales again.  This time the deals were pretty good.

Switching to VMWare Server

I’ve mentioned before that this site is running in a VirtualPC environment.

I’ve decided to switch to VMWare Server.  I’ll be bringing the server down so I can import my Virtual PC image into VMWare.

Hard drive issues

I was installing Windows Vista Service Pack 1 after having downloaded it from the MSDN downloads site.  During one of the reboots, my machine sat on the bootup screen.  This is what I saw:

Upgrade to WordPress 2.3.3

I just upgraded to the latest version of WordPress.  WooHoo!  Upgrade was a breeze.  Deactivate plug-ins, backup, copy files, reactivate plug-ins, done.
Now I just gotta see if my email notification still works.  I don’t remember where I set all the SMTP stuff.

TinyMCE Advanced for WordPress

WordPress comes with a stripped down version of the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor. It looks a bit boring:

So I decided to spruce it up a bit and download a plug-in that upgrades the text editor. I chose TinyMCE Advanced by Andrew Ozz and now it looks like this:

Installation couldn’t be easier. [...]
