Our 2008 trip to Hawaii
Traveling First Class
On our last day, Anna received a phone call from Northwest Airlines. The flight had been overbooked (a common airline practice) and they were looking for people with flexible travel plans to be bumped from the flight. We agreed to be bumped. In return, Northwest put us on Hawaiian Airlines in first-class seats. Claire and Anna has the window and aisle and I had the aisle seat across from Anna. We were all seated in the first row. We were fed a decent meal with complimentary alcoholic beverages and free use of a DigEplayer (a portal multimedia player for in-flight entertainment use). Anna did a great job of making sure Claire was well-behaved even if it meant giving in to every one of Claire’s demands.
In Seattle, we parked our car in a nearby parking lot that has valet parking and a shuttle to the airport. Upon arrival at SeaTac, we called them up and boarded their shuttle to the lot. Our car was waiting there for us. We just had to settle our bill, load our luggage, and we were ready to make the 2.5-hour drive back to Canada.
Hi Vince, it’s Anna’s friend Angi from the states. I just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading about your trip. You photos are beautiful, as always! I love the ones of Anna & Claire together on the beach. Such love between the two of them, very sweet
